eating healthy

Eating healthy is definitely easier said than done in our fast food, snack-laden country, however, it doesn’t have to be difficult.

While eating healthy isn’t always easy, it doesn’t have to be hard either. If you can incorporate into your diet a variety of fresh foods, including fruits and vegetables, lean meats and low-fat dairy products, you’re eating healthy. Limiting processed foods, high-fat or sugary items and fried foods, is also a good way to eat smart.

Superfoods are those that are known to offer health benefits, so they are a good place to start in the quest to improve your diet. Although lists vary, here are 10 superfoods recommended by Natalie Digate Muth, MD, MPH, RD, of the American Council on Exercise, who loves these also because they are without preservatives, saturated and trans fat and sodium.
