Most of us are looking for efficient, effective workouts so we can get them done and get on with our day. That’s why Octane Fitness created the one-of-a-kind CROSS CiRCUIT total-body workout program.


Few people today have the luxury of spending hours at the gym. So Octane Fitness developed CROSS CiRCUIT, a unique regimen that combines cardio intervals on the elliptical with strength training exercises next to the elliptical. You get cardio, strength and major calorie expenditure, all in a quick, rigorous routine.

With CROSS CiRCUIT, the workout options are virtually endless, as you can select among hundreds of exercises that use body weight, Octane’s Powerbands and PowerBlock adjustable dumbbells. You might choose to focus on lower body one day, or core or upper body, but the most bang for your buck comes from a total-body workout, where you hit all the major muscle groups.

For even more results, it’s good to combine multi-joint, multi-muscle compound movements rather than simply isolated exercises (such as biceps curls). While isolated exercises certainly are beneficial, to make the most of your time, hit groups of muscles together and keep your heart rate up in CROSS CiRCUIT.

CROSS CiRCUIT has several Body Blast routines that will challenge your entire body and build endurance and strength. Here are just some of our favorite exercises for maximizing the effectiveness of your total-body workout:

  1. Squat with reverse glute extension or squat with lateral leg raise
  2. Reverse lunge with hammer curl
  3. Alternating chest press and chest fly on a stability ball with hips bridged
  4. Deadlift with bent-over rows
  5. Lateral lunge with front raise or overhead press
  6. French press with reverse crunch
  7. Plank pike-up
